Haldanes and Arch in new agreement
- 12 June 2015
The Haldane Shiells group of companies has agreed a new long term deal with their timber treatment partners, Arch Timber Protection.

David Haldane commented, ‘Preservative treatments are a key part of our timber supply business both in Ireland and the UK mainland with operations in Newry, at G E Robinson in Salford and at Garstang Timber. We offer both TANALITH high pressure treatments and VACSOL low pressure treatments and we need to be sure that the treated timbers we offer are what our customers expect them to be. In working with Arch we have a confidence in the proven products, application technologies and support services they provide to help us deliver that expectation to our customers.’

‘We already have a long term, positive relationship with Arch and their latest initiatives and developments were key factors to extending this partnership. We have seen real performance benefits from the  BARamine component now in TANALITH high pressure treatments and the Arch AUTO-TREATER treatment management software allows us to centrally control and produce consistently high quality treated timbers throughout our various treatment operations.’

‘We are starting to use the new Treat-Right on-line training facility from Arch to ensure our treatment plant operators and managers are fully trained and up to speed and the Treat-Right performance warranty will help us differentiate the treated timbers we offer.’
