WPA Award Success
- 20 April 2016
Launched in 2015 the WPA awards proved a real success in recognising excellence within the wood protection industry and this year’s event was extended to include more award categories.

Among this years winners were Bond Timber who received the Award for Preservative Treated Wood Project of the Year for the 'The Drop' thrill ride at the Eden Project.

The awards ceremony was held at the Breadsall Priory Hotel, Derby on 6th April and the following day the WPA held their annual conference which included key  presentations from industry leaders. These included Derek Tweddle of Tweddle Engineering who gave an insightful talk about their Excalibur incising technology and its impact on the timber treatment industry.

Andy Hodge, marketing director of Arch Timber Protection commented, ‘Arch is proud to be the main sponsors of this key industry event. We fully support all quality practices in the industry and feel that this awards event helps reward and celebrate excellence in our sector.’

‘Also we are pleased to support the WPA Making the Most of Wood conference at the same event and enjoyed immensely the interesting key speakers that the WPA had arranged.’
